Malmaison and La Defense
|
On a clear, bright morning we visited Malmaison, Josephine's home, just outside Paris |
We practically had the château to ourselves which let us do silly things, like this. |
The man himself, in one of the many versions of this painting. Seems he had the artist, David, paint it with blue, green and red capes; different colored horses; different backgrounds to see which looked best. I guess that was the photography of his day. |

On our way back to Paris we stopped at La Defense, the business district with its own version of the Arc de Triomphe |
That arch is so large, it's impossible to capture in one shot! |
Looking out the back of the arch, away from Paris you can see mostly office buildings and businesses |
